OKsystem has become an official partner of the Czech National Pavilion at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition. We are developing an app that will provide visitors with information about the pavilion's programme and enable them to book seats for events.
“The World EXPO is an important showcase for individual nations, and as a traditional Czech company, we want to support our national exposition. Such a partnership is also beneficial for our international activities, because our business partners around the world are familiar with the EXPO,” says OKsystem’s Sales Director, Vladimír Fuchs. He adds: “Japan and the ASEAN countries are significant for us because this region sees the highest number of industrial robots sold and installed worldwide. We supply our customers with the Checkbot software for these industrial robots.”
We anticipate that our participation in EXPO 2025 will enable us to forge new business partnerships, further showcase our brand and innovative products not only in the Indo-Pacific region, and also present ourselves as a stable, trustworthy company with a tradition of 35 years.
“Reliability, tradition, competitiveness, and innovation—these are the attributes that potential Japanese customers and business partners respond to. High-quality companies in the field of information and communication technologies, which OKsystem undoubtedly is, have an excellent chance of succeeding in the Japanese market, especially with the support of the state, which holds a strong position in Japan. Thanks to our participation in EXPO 2025, we are offering Czech companies a unique opportunity that lasts a full six months,” says Ondřej Soška, General Commissioner for the Czech participation at EXPO 2025.
For the Czech National Pavilion, we are developing a mobile and web application that will be utilized by both organizers for managing reservations and visitors to the pavilion. It is expected that the Czech National Pavilion could receive 12,000 to 15,000 visitors daily. Through the application, users will learn about what and where they can see within the pavilion, navigate through the pavilion with a virtual map, discover details about the exhibited items, and reserve their spots for various events held in the multifunctional auditorium, on the rooftop terrace, or in the CTP lounge—whether cultural or business-oriented. The application will also showcase the partners of Czech participation, including news updates, and feature a section for frequently asked questions.
The cooperation was confirmed by the signing of the contract by Ondřej Soška, General Commissioner of the Czech participation, and Vítězslav Ciml, Director of OKsystem.
About the Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025
In December 2022, after more than twenty years, the Office of the Commissioner General announced an open anonymous architectural competition for the design of the national pavilion for EXPO 2025. 38 teams entered the competition, from which an expert jury headed by world-renowned architect Eva Jiřičná selected the winning design in the shape of a glass spiral by Apropos Architects in March 2023. The supporting structure of the building will consist of modern wooden panels, while the façade will be made of art glass, which has a centuries-old tradition in the Czech Republic. The National Pavilion will offer a worthy backdrop for the Czech participation in EXPO 2025, which will be held from April to October 2025 on the artificial island of Yumeshima in the Gulf of Osaka. The pavilion will house a permanent exhibition, a multifunctional auditorium, facilities for business meetings, a restaurant, a CTP lounge and a relaxation area in front of the pavilion with a view of the sea for visitors.
About Czech participation at EXPO 2025
The Czech Republic will participate in the World EXPO for the sixth time as an independent country. Ondřej Soška, who won the tender of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with his concept and theme "Talent and Creativity for Life", will be the General Commissioner from September 2022. In Osaka, the Czech Republic should present not only what the Japanese know very well and have long admired, such as Czech glass and classical music, but also Czech innovations, nanotechnologies, promising start-ups and regional talent.
